 Eagles clinch title share

Dai’Shona Polk finished with game highs of 15 points and six rebounds to lead the host Golden Eagles to a win and helped clinch at least a share of the Federal League title.

GlenOak (17-2, 9-1) went 21 years in between its last title, and first-year head coach Paul Wackerly made an impact on this team.

“This is huge for the kids, who played hard,” Wackerly said. “We are 17-2 right now and not too many people had us being this good, that’s for sure.”

Dajia Mills added 12 points for the Golden Eagles, who will have to wait until Saturday when McKinley host Lake. The Bulldogs are a half-game back of GlenOak.
